Over the last 5-10 years the partners have been involved in many business improvement projects using operating models as a core tool to achieve this, resulting in significant value being generated.

Experience across multiple sectors

Business Engine Partners experience spans Strategy, Operations,  Process Design, Organization Development and Corporate Centre Management.to date. Extending across multiple industry sectors, including  Construction to B2B Services, Retail, Management Consulting and Oil and Gas demonstrating that our core principle, to build on a central operating model, can be applied to any and all businesses creating significant impact.

The science of operating models and their application has evolved as we have gained more experience. Now the science is robust enough to add value in any industry and situation we have encountered. 

Commercial Construction

A regional leader in commercial construction on the US East Coast were unable to coordinate functional efforts across numerous field projects resulting in inefficiency, quality issues, and dramatic schedule delays. With no operating model, managers were spread too thin to mange effectively. The creation of an operating model, that represented the desired flow and roles and was built to integrate directly into employee and management work processes immediately drove far higher levels of efficiency while virtually eliminating quality defects.  

International Talent Recruiting

A digitally based talent and skills recruiting player in US MidWest focused on sourcing and landing nursing talent from the Philippines into US hospitals, was experiencing a slow down in growth due to the bandwidth of the founders. An integrated operating model was created that enabled aggressive scaling as well as movement into other geographic markets and talent areas.  The platform also enabled the creation and seamless integration of a shared service organization in the Philippines that greatly improved efficiency, effectiveness and the potential to scale.

Modular Construction

A well funded global disruptor in the construction space focused on modular construction and unified the end to end supply chain, struggled to  combine the entire value chain to ensure design intent flowed seamlessly across it with efficient handoffs at every stage.  Even though they owned every step of the supply chain from design through manufacturing through construction, they had no platform for integration. By creating an operating model that integrated the entire project delivery value chain they were able to remove waste and drive up efficiency.

Oil and Gas

A global leader in oil field services needed to create a platform for future growth while being able to coordinate efficiently, deliver consistently and manage change effectively across highly complex, fragmented multi-national operations. Progress for an already successful company required a dramatic rethink in how to organize their business from top to bottom. The creation and implication of an operating model acted as an explicit platform to model and coordinate desired operations and functional roles, while standardizing operations and integrating a shared services model using a single operationalized operating model.
