The Best Operating Models Don’t Sit in PowerPoint — They Drive the Business

In an environment of constant change, strategy alone is not enough. The real question for leaders is whether their operating model exists as something tangible, a living asset that shows how the enterprise actually works and can evolve as conditions change. Too often, operating models exist only in slides or fragmented documents. A true operating model should be visible, integrated, and continuously updated, guiding how work flows, decisions are made, and improvements are scaled. When treated as a living asset rather than a one-time design exercise, it becomes the engine that allows an organization to adapt at the speed of change.
